Adoption Process

Where to Start

The first step in adopting a puppy is to fill out the contact form on our "Contact Us" page to initiate the interview process. This is just a casual conversation for us to get to know you and for you to get to know us. From there we like to have families come out to our facilities to look around and get a better feel for us as breeders. If you are not local we can do a virtual visit through video chat.

Next Steps

After the initial interview process, if it is a good fit for both parties, you will be added to our waitlist. After being aded to the waitlist we encourage families to review our "Health Guarantee and Sales Agreement" to ensure both parties are aware of their role in the puppy's health. Once you are in the top 20 of the waitlist we will contact you to make a deposit for the next available litter.

Litter is Born

When the litter is born the breeder reserves the right to the first two picks of the litter. Families will be notified within 5 days of the litter being born on the size of the litter and what spot in line they are to pick. The delay is to ensure the health of mom and puppies before any announcements are made. When the puppies are 5 weeks old families will come out to pick in the order of deposits received. When the puppies are 8 weeks old we will schedule appointments for families to come pick them up. At this time we will also fill out the "Health Guarantee and Sales Agreement" and final payment will be due.

Going Home

When you come to pick up your puppy we recommend bringing a blanket, towel, or fluffy toy that you can rub on the litter mates to get their scent. This will help keep the puppy at ease on the ride home and their first night at home. If you are traveling a long ways you can also bring a kennel to put your puppy in for the ride home. If you don't have very far to go the puppy can always ride on the passengers lap though. You will receive a going home package from us which includes AKC limited registration, microchip registration, health and vaccine certification, one month of AKC pet insurance and other resources, a collar, and a small bag of puppy food. We recommend the Diamond brand puppy food and this is what the puppies start eating at 4 weeks old.
